Notice: I had this scheduled to post this morning. I have no idea why it didn't. Sorry about the delay.
Time Travel.
Take out a piece of paper and write down three enemies of your creative self-worth. Your historic monsters are at the building blocks of your core negative beliefs. By recognizing these, it will make it easier to fight them off.
Now, list three old champions of your creative self-worth (parents, teachers, friends, authors). These will be the ones who have sent you seeking this dream. Take this as far back as you can remember. Claim them as your personal heroes and mentors.
Tasks for today: Morning pages, Affirmations, and Time travel.
Two days in, how are you feeling?

I had to work this morning, so my morning pages became afternoon pages but I got them done. It's amazing what comes out of your head when you just let your mind flow.
Affirmations - done
Time Trival
3 enemies - Myself, past critiquers, Myself
3 Old Champions - Stephen King, VC Andrews, Dean Koontz
I am my biggest enemy. I wasn't lucky enough to have a teacher to put in the Champions list. I went to a small school and creative writing wasn't offered to any degree. Closest I got was literature but it was taught out of a book, and the only thing I remember from it is learning about Emily Dickinson and reading and reporting on Wrinkle in Time. At least I did get something out of it.
My grandma, who died soon 13 years ago, was one of my biggest champions. She really spurred me on. Not in active way, but she accepted this part of me, this creative part.
Thanks for sharing. She continues to cheer you own in spirit, I'm sure.
