It seems most writers search for a magical process to writing. I'm about to reveal the secret. Are you sitting down?
One side of the room goes quiet in anticipation, and the other groans, knowing there is no magical process.
But, there is. The magical process is within each writer. The only secret is in discovering the process.
Every writer works in different ways and each process will be different.
The more you write, the more the process will be revealed.
So, the magical process, the secret, is to write. Write when you happy, sad, mad, confused. Continue to write when you are stuck, feed up, lonely. Discover your writing process.
Have you discovered yours? Care to share? All comments are welcomed.

Well... it's all about catching the muse... But that's another story. ;-P
Yes, writing is definitely magical, and a writer will get nowhere unless he/she writes. Personally, I think one of the magical moments in writing is the creation of an idea and seeing it slowly bleed onto the page.
Misha, yes another story, lol.
Cherie, totally agree.
If I had the magic formula, I would share it. I really would. So far, and this is 27 years of experience talking, I've come to the conclusion that stubbornness is the key. Some would come it determination, but honestly, it's most stubbornness. Especially in the old days when I'd hear, "Quit writing and go have babies, like a good girl." Grrr...
Joylene, I'd have to agree. With all the speak of, "it's a hobby" and "why are you wasting your time", we would have to be stubborn to keep at this career.
