Submission

I'm determined to get back in the swing of things. And slowly it is working out. If only there were more hours in the day, more could be accomplished.

I have a few short stories that I sent out last year that were rejected. I'm working on getting each of them reworked and back out there in hope of publication.

Earlier this week, I submitted my short story 'Forever Friends' to Shroud Magazine.

I am working on another short story, previously rejected, in hopes of completing in time to submit to Shroud's Halloween issue. Cross some fingers for me.

Hi Cher,
I stopped by to let you know that you have been awarded The Versatile Blogger Award. It comes with some rules so please stop by my blog to learn more about it. Congratulations!

Hi Cher, I recently told my husband I wished I had more hours each day to accomplish everything I want to get done, so I understand where you are coming from. Good luck with all your reworked writings when you send them out.

Congrats on being awarded The Versatile Blogger Award!

Keep submitting the shorts, Cher! I just had a short story accepted that had been passed on a number of times. Just takes the right market/editor and maybe even some lucky timing of what they're looking for. Your works will find a home.

Lionmother, Thank you so much for the award! It is always an honor to be recognized by other writers/bloggers. I'll get it posted on my blog as soon as I can, and I look forward to going through the blogs you have listed. This is always a good way to find wonderful blogs.

Thanks again.

Susanne, Time is an issue for everyone, but when you are trying to fit multiple jobs (work, writing, tarot, etc.) in to your day, it makes it that much harder. Thanks for the congrats.

Best of luck with your query, Cher. I tried for 26 years before I was finally able to sell my book. I remember the desperation. There were low times when I thought it would never happen. Just believe and keep sending them out.

Cher, I hope it's okay, but I've nominated you for the Versatile Blog Award. You can see the rules on my blog later today. It'll be fun, I promise!

Wow, two nominations in one day! Thank you so much. I'll get to the blog as soon as possible.

Sadly, rejection is part of the writing life. But the one place that doesn't reject a story is well worth it. Hang in there!
